Hi would you please post the following for me.

Louis F. KAKUSKE immigrated to the U.S. in 1852 with his cousins Rudolph and Alma CRAMER.  Rudolph and his wife Alma settled in Beaver Dam, Wi.  Louis in Jefferson and Fort Atkinson, Wi.  I would like to determine which one was his cousin; Rudolph or Alma.  The Cramer named had been spelled Kraemer, then they changed it to Kramer and eventually Cramer.  Does anyone have information on Rudolph and Alma Cramer's family ancestors?

Seeking info on first wife and first son of Anton Adam KLIER (b. 18 April 1822 Bavaria). In 1848 (Jefferson twp), he married his first wife, Barbara FLEH/FLOH (b. 1828 Regensburg), daughter of Michael Floh and Margaret RAPPEL. Anton and Barbara are listed in the 1850 Census, Jefferson Twp, along with 6-month-old George. Am assuming that Barbara died in 1850 because Anton married Theresia HOTTER in January 1851. In 1860 Census, George is 11 years old and living with Anton and stepmother Theresia. Other siblings are Julia (b. 1852), another George (b. 1854), Joseph (b. 1855), Henry (b. 1858), and Margaret (b. 1859). Have not found any further reference to the first George, or to Barbara Floh's death. Does anyone know what happened to them?

Regarding Anton Adam Klier, his last name was spelled Kleir, Clear, Clar, depending on the enumerator!

Subject: William Buchulz/Buchholz & Augustine/Augusta Koehler/Keller 1840's

I am looking for ANY information and or descendants of this couple. They married in Dodge County August 25, 1845 (or should it be 1849?). They relocated to Greenville, Brown County, Wisconsin in 1850 and then on over to Goodhue County, Minnesota until about the 1870's. I can't find them in the 1880 Census but their son William Frederick/Francis Buchholz and his sister Sophia Buchholz (under Buchols) were up in Goodwin, Deuel County, Dakota Territory.

Later William was in So. Dakota August 3rd, 1890 where he filed for his Civil War Pension. Then in 1900 he was living with his daughter Henrietta Kressler in Lolo, Shoshone County, Idaho. Her mother Augustine/Auguste/Augusta Koehler/Keller- Buchholz died in Asotin County, Washington State in 1899. The last I see of William Buchholz (born in Jan./Jun 1826 came to USA in 1844 from Germany/Preussen/PreuBen/Prussia....) was that he was living with his daughter Sophia Schultz in South Fork Township, Saline County, Nebraska. By 1920, Sophia and her husband Fredrick H. Schultz were relocated to Farmer Township, Rice County, Kansas. William after 1910 must have become deceased.

Is there anyone out there that can obtain for me a copy of the handwritten marriage reocord of this William Buchulz and Augustine Koehler? Naturually I would be willing to pay for the copy and postage. Thank you. And if anyone is out there in the world that is aware of this family, a descendant or the like. PLEASE email me at mskmagw@yahoo.com or mail me at Mark Leckie PO Box 83 Lancaster, N.H. 03584

Subject: Could you post a query for me/let me know if you have any information in your archives on the following ancestors?

We have recently joined the Dodge/Jefferson Genealogical Society.

I am researching the following ancestors who lived in Rubicon:

Hirsch Heine (ran general store in Rubicon from around 1857 till his death in 1862)

Herman M Heine

Hanna Bertha Heine (died in Rubicon in 1870)

Regina Heine (nee Weinstock)

Samuel Weinstock (ran butchery/cattle company from around 1857 to 1869 in Rubicon).

Gitel Weinstock (died in Rubicon in 1873)

I am also curious about Tobias Herring, since Samuel Weinstock was living with Tobias at the time of the 1860 census.  Tobias is listed as a physician in the 1860 census.

Could you post this query to your website as well as searching your archives?

I have found my grandmother's (Hilda Ruth Tews-Damerow of Plymouth, WI.) photo albumn and believe her mother's family to be from this area.  My g-grandmother's name was Johanna Bertha Fredericka Pautz  b. 12 oct 1859 in Watertown. She married Wilhelm Frederick August Tews on 13 Jul 1888.

The photos include: Bertha's siblings, August, Albert, Emil, Amanda, Lena, Meta (Quandt) Pautz, and Granda and Grampa Pautz.  Can anyone verify these names?

My grandmother used to take a train from Afton, Wi. to Watertown and stay with her cousins to go to a German School.  Can find no info on this either.

Subject: Helmer query

I am looking for information about MICHAEL FRIEDRICH HELMER (born Abt. 26 Jul 1814, possibly in Pumptow, Pomerania) and DORATHEA MARY STRASEMAN / STRESEMAN (born 27 Dec 1820 in Prussia).  The family came to the USA about 1854-1855 and lived in Jefferson County, Wisconsin.  They moved to Minnesota in the 1860s.  Their children were:

Louisa  Dorothea Helmer, born about 02 Sep 1848 (my great-grandmother)

August Helmer, born about 1853

William Friedrich Hellmer, born 06 Jul 1858

Henry Hellmer, born 21 May 1861

I believe William and Henry were born in Jefferson County, perhaps in Watertown.  So, birth records might be available.

Michael's brother, DANIEL HELMER, and family also came to the USA and lived in Ixonia (Watertown Post Office), Jefferson Co.  I found his family in the census records.

Thanks, Sheena   /  Los Alamos, NM

Subject: Ancestors of Angeline Williams (b.
28 Dec 1850)

I am searching for the parents of Angeline Williams who was born in Watertown on 28 Dec. 1849 or 28 Dec 1850).  Her father, an unknown Williams, was supposedly born in Norway.  Her mother (believed to be Caroline) was supposedly born in Sweden.
I obtained this information from Angeline Williams Johnson's death certificate.  The information was given by her daughter and she seemed to be a little "foggy" about her mother's heritage.
I cannot find the family in any census prior to Angeline's marriage in 1870.  It is almost impossible without knowing who her father was.  I am hoping the perhaps someone can help me find Angeline Williams birth registration...thereby giving me more information concerning her parentage.
Thank you for your consideration and any information you might be able to provide.
