I am looking for the Carl/Charles Strutz and Wilhelminie nee Mietgel Strutz family that lived in Dodge Co. about 1879. Son, Anton Stutz, was born Jan. 1879 in Oak Gove, Juneau, Dodge Co., WI. The family must have later moved to Town of Washington, in Shawano Co., WI.

I do not know how long the family lived in Dodge Co. or if this is their first location in the US.

I am still looking for any information on ALBERTA NICHOLS TROTZ (dob 2/21/1875). She was married to EMIL TROTZ. There are still relatives living in the county. What I am trying to find out is: Who her parents were and where she was born. They had 5 children: WALTER TROTZ, LEROY TROTZ, EVELYN TROTZ BRANDT HOFER BOTHNER, VIVIAN TROTZ FROEMING, AND EFFIE TROTZ KOHLER. Since my grandmother was married to HENRY BRANDT, I am sure that someone in the Lake Mills area would know or have this information. I am also seeking information on my grandfather, FRANK BLASING SR. I have been told that his biological parents were Nellie Duwe and his father was a Jones. I would be very grateful for any information including leads to possible sources. I am putting together a family history for my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I know there are skeletons in the closet, but they are no longer dark secrets. There is not a thing that I could find out that would surprise me. Everyone has a right to know their family history.

I'm looking for information on my g-g-g grandfather, Michael Fuchs. I have a copy of a will he signed dated 17 Nov 1871. He died 9 days later on 26 Nov 1871 in or near the City of Jefferson. He must have know he was going to die so it makes me believe he may have been in a hosptial at the time of his death. I have not been able to find any other record of his death or his place of burial. Any information or ideas would be of great help.

My great-great-great grandfather was Philander Reynolds. Born in New York in 1823 and moved to Jefferson County in about 1845. He married Margaret there, and raised a family. My gg grandfather was born there, he is Story Henry Reynolds. It appears that Philander's father moved to Jefferson County about the same time, and may have died there.

What resources are available, and how do I access them?

I would like someone to check for the marriage record for George A. YAHN which would have happened about 1876, most likely in Jefferson County. The woman he married, we know as Minnie from her obituary. It states she was born 24-Feb-1854 in Helenville, WI and spent her childhood there. She married George, 22 years later. I don't know her maiden name. If you locate the marriage record, can you also try to locate her birth record and possibly his as well?

If you have any questions I can answer to narrow your search, please email me.

Sincerely,

Lorraine Rohloff, Soldotna, Alaska

If you find the marriage record and can also locate

YAHN, George

I had previously posted this message using an email address which is no longer valid at alaska.net. Use the flrohloff@gci.net if you want to contact me.
