BENDERT/BENTERT, ADA/IDA MARY MARTHA b.28 Sept 1863 possibly in Watertown. Searching for parents names and any other related information. (Jefferson County Registrar of Deeds has no record of her birth. Dodge County Courthouse burned in 1877 destroying prior records kept there.) This woman was my GGrandmother. I have no confirmed information prior to her marriage 19 Nov 1891. Her obit says that she was born in Watertown and baptized in the German Lutheran Church. It says that she moved to Iowa, with her mother and grandparents in 1870. Any further information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Linda Wilson ellsmere@hotmail.com

PERRY, MILTON, BAY. Ancestor ELI PERRY (b. 1835, Canada) resided in Dodge County (father JOB W. PERRY b. NY, m. MARY CLAPP). On the WIGenExchange, I have found a brief biography of ELI that states that JOB W. was an early settler in Dodge County. ELI married PHOEBE ELIZABETH BAY, father JOHN BAY, and he was also described as an early settler. Do you have any historical accounts that include these two fathers. And, do you have any information on ELI and/or PHOEBE's siblings? ELI and PHOEBE had a son, ALVAH WILSON PERRY (b. 1856, Randolph, WI) who married CECILIA CASSIE MILTON, (f. PETER MILTON of Fox Lake). Do you have any record of ALVAH, and his siblings?

I hope you can help me. I am working on a book project and am looking for information about the first European settlers in the various counties. Would you have information about the first settlers in your area?

If you have a photo that I could use, it will be credited in the book and also there will be an acknowledgment page of people and associations that helped in the preparation of this historic work. This page will be given prominence at the front of the book.

Please email information to whaegele@itol.com or mail to M. Haegele, 714 River Road, Kewaunee, Wisconsin, 54216. Your postage will be reimbursed.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Regards

Mary Haegele

I am researching the Joseph Millick (Milick, Milic)family and Nicolas Baer. Specifically, Joseph Millick's daughter Magdalene who married Nicholas Baer. Nicholas came to America around 1853 from Austria/Hungary. The Millicks came around 1849. I would love to find a marriage record for Nicholas and Magdalene. I believe they married around 1857. By 1859 they were married and in Kansas when their first child was born. Magdalene was born cir. 1840-42 and Nicholas was born cir. 1830.

The index for the 1855 WI State Census lists a Nicholas Beyer in Dodge Co. It's possible that this is the Nicholas I am researching. The Millicks are in Elba in 1860 so it would seem that everyone is in the right place.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
