Hello, Folks! My question concerns the burial place of my great-great grandmother, Sophie Mittelstadt, who came to Wisconsin in 1856 with her son Edward J. (baptized Heinrich Julius Edward). She shows up on the 1870 Census for Concord Township in the household of another son, my great grandfather, Christian Mittelstadt, who arrived a year before her. They were members of the Methodist Church in Concord, but there is no stone in the cemetery there for her. It is also possible that Sophie's husband, Friedrich Mittelstadt came over from Germany, but we have found no record of it (he may have died between 1856-1870). The surname is often spelled Middlestate/Middlestadt, etc., during that period. If you have information about Sophie or Friedrich, it will be well worth the price of admission! Heck, I'm sure it's worth the price of membership, anyhow... thanks in advance,

Bob

Hello! I'm looking to verify the burial place of a John George Fuchs. I recieved
an obituary from the State Historical
Society on John Fuchs from August 1912.
It states he was buried near the "old
hill church, the first house of worship
of St.John's Lutheran congregation." It
also states he was a founding member and
that he was preceded in death by his wife Katharine Fuchs(Miller) and five
childern. Can anyone living in the area
verify this for me? I would be very in-
terested to know if any other family
members are buried there. Thanks in ad-
vance. I can be contacted e-mail mfox@

I am looking for information on the family of George Angermeyer and his wife Rosina and their 8 children. George came to Rome, WI from Bavaria between 1850 and 1852. The last census I am able to find them in is 1870. I was wondering if there is any information about any deaths or marriages of the family members during this time period. They did belong to the Catholic religion.

Thank you.
