Courthouse
records: They were recorded all the way back to the
early days of the county - 1850's probably.
But, there was a fire at the Dodge County Courthouse in 1877 and all of
the records before then were destroyed.
This would include births, deaths, marriages and land records. They resumed recording them after the fire,
so these are the earliest records available.
Church records are your best source of early marriages, but they are not
indexed or filed in a central location.
You have to contact the individual churches!
